The Specialty Coffee Expo is an annual event in Johannesburg and Cape Town that invites the top coffee roasters from all over South Africa to showcase their beans and roasting skills.
Only about 6% of the world’s coffee is considered to be Specialty, and you can taste some of it at this coffee expo.
The Roasters Village hosts 16 premier roasters who bring their personality, flare, and experience to specialty coffee. You can grab some free tasters at the Brew Bar, sip top coffees in the cupping room, and watch some of SA’s top baristas compete head-to-head at the Crush The Rush Barista competition. In addition, you can visit the finest equipment suppliers for home and commercial use, learn to brew coffee using different methods at the Brew Bar, and sample delicious street food and patisserie offerings.
There will also be a Coffee Producing Country partner village showcasing some of the finest single-origin coffees from top farms. The Crush The Rush Barista Competition adds to the excitement of the show. So, come and explore the world of specialty coffee at this fantastic event!
